Summer Staycation Spots
Summer vacation looks a bit different this year so I'm helping you embrace the STAY-cation!
We're all trying to stay closer to home this year and while that might mean your typical summer vacation was canceled, it doesn't mean there's no way to enjoy the summer. So, I've compiled a list of staycation spots within driving distance of [MARKET]. Stay safe and enjoy!
1. McMenamins Edgefield
Historic Edgefield, built in 1911 as the county poor farm, is a destination resort in the Pacific Northwest that blends Oregon's natural beauty with McMenamins' signature whimsy: original buildings carefully restored with cozy interiors, gardens grown using organic methods, great food and drink, live entertainment and more.
2. Timberline Lodge
Built in 1937, Timberline Lodge has always been a grand refuge for visitors wanting to experience the magnificent and expansive high-alpine environment of Mt. Hood. A night (or a few) enjoyed in the comfort and warmth of the Lodge is like stepping back into simpler times, yet with all modern conveniences discreetly available.
3. McMenamins Grand Lodge
Make a grand escape to McMenamins Grand Lodge! It's all in the details here, with the stately columns and winding drive, wide green lawn, 77 European-style guestrooms, restaurants, movie theater and small bars and some of the most fantastic artwork to ever grace these walls. Built in 1922 as a Masonic & Eastern Star home, the Grand Lodge has stories to tell. Renovated and opened by McMenamins in 2000, what was once tranquil and serene is now vibrant and colorful. Here the walls do speak... As do the doorways, the hallways, and even the overhead pipes. (Look up...)Inspired by the history of the city of Forest Grove and the building itself, McMenamins' artists have infused the Grand Lodge with original artwork and historical photographs - all tributes to the cast of characters who left their mark before us.
4. The Duniway Hotel

Embracing the artistic, creative, and independent nature of Portland’s trailblazing spirit, the Duniway is a bold boutique hotel that delivers unscripted service and unexpected delights. Located in the center of one of the country’s most creative cities, and complemented by the inventive cuisine of ‘Top Chef Masters’ winner Chris Cosentino’s Jackrabbit, the Duniway creates memorable and authentically Portland experiences.
